Today I choose a new perspective

Today I choose a new perspective—on the outside world, through my inner being.

I choose to let my experience shift, deepen, disappear. I choose to begin anew.

I choose to let it morph into a new story I had no idea was unfolding. I choose to be mesmerized, awed, humbled… freed.

I choose to witness the colors of the sky and wonder how I can receive and honor so much beauty. I choose to let the wind hug me, carry me home, and send me away on a new path I don't know how to walk yet.

I choose to let the sun melt my defenses and to let the rain wash away my fears. I choose to let the earth ground and anchor me. I answer the sky's calling to spread my wings and fly.

I choose a new perspective on everything, I pledge to clean the slate and start fresh as if nothing had ever existed before this very minute, before this whole new day.

I choose a new perspective, one that I do not choose, one that reveals itself to my bewildered eyes while I wake.

I choose a new perspective and watch trustingly, expectantly, what happens next.
