Today I choose to be surprised —by everything, by every word, by everyone.
I choose to be surprised at every turn, in every second, by every event.
I choose to be awed, humbled, dumbfounded or unsettled, and to welcome it all.
Today I release all control, prediction, rationality or logic. I give up my quest for stability, it's pointless and exhausting and it doesn't bring me the safety I’m hoping for.
Today I choose to be surprised, puzzled, awestruck, excited, scared and at peace. Yes all the above. I understand that I’ve been told about a way of things that is just not the way things are and I release my expectations that Life will adapt to me; I choose to adapt to Life from now on.
Today I choose to be surprised by what happens next, by the juicy plot twists I did NOT pray for, by the unexpected setbacks, by the depth of my heart.
I choose to witness, fascinated, what happens now and to receive, only receive—without advice, moodyness or question.
I melt into the creative energy that can create planets, oceans, mountains and stars. They know better than me what's supposed to be or not.
