Today I choose to believe that I deserve happiness, relief, grace and calm.

I choose to stop receiving what feels like a violent reminder of what used to be, in order to receive what feels like a soft promise of what’s to come.

Today I choose to believe that I deserve happiness, relief, grace and calm. I choose to unlearn that it has to hurt first for me to feel joy, that I need to exhaust myself to be allowed to rest. I choose to stop looking at what doesn't work as a punishment and to witness that it's only showing me what needs to change from the inside out.

I let my heart awaken my grief, my anger, my ability to love and celebrate—because each of them is sacred.

I choose to let the tears move from my core to my eyes, and from my eyes into the world. I trust the Earth will catch them and turn them into Love.

I choose to let relief shake my body and my fears, I choose to let relief come and hug me—until I can believe that there's another way to live and breathe.

Today I choose to believe that I deserve happiness, relief, grace and calm. That there's nothing wrong with me that requires abuse or betrayal.

I choose to remember that if it doesn't feel good or right, it's not an invitation to double down.

I let them go if they don't feel safe to my heart. I let them in if they feel like fresh air to my lungs.

I let my thoughts flow easily… so that the painful ones can be rewritten by the hopeful ones that shine so brightly this morning—through the raging storm currently cleansing my inner being.

I choose to stop receiving what feels like a violent reminder of what used to be, in order to receive what feels like a soft promise of what’s to come.

Today I choose to believe that I deserve happiness, relief, grace and calm… and I invite you to join me in the sacredness of being alive.
